How to transform cubic metres to metric tons of fuel on board a vessel.

Today we are going to show you how to tranform the quantity of the fuel you have on board from cubic meters to metric tonnes. We are going to use this FREE Excel file which calculates automatically and you can get it for free from the link which is locates down bellow to the description and to the comments section of this video.

What you have to do is only to input three required data and all the rest calculations are done automatically. This file is suitable for all the types of vessels of Merchant Marine and is a great tool for all Chief Engineers.

The three data you must input are :
1. The Volume of the fuel in cubic meters
2. The Density of the fuel at 15 degrees Celsius
3. The Temperature of the fuel

Let's do one example and input these data for one fuel tank for example:
1. We input the known volume for example of 300.40 cubic meters
2. We input the known density for example 0.904 (kg/m3)
3. We input the know temperature for example 30.3 degress Celsius
And we see automatically the result that 300.40 cubic meters of fuel equals to 268.03 metric tons of fuel.

On our next video and on our next article on our website we are going to show you where:
1. To find the volume of the fuel
2. to find the density of the fuel
3. to find the temperature of the fuel
