During measuring the quantity of a fuel tank on board, we are going to learn how to find the volume in cubic meters. We will learn how to find the density at 15 degress Celsius of this fuel. We will learn how to find the temperature of the fuel. With purpose to input all these 3 data inside the automatic BUNKER SURVEY CALCULATION excel file that it was explained how to use it, on our previous video.
For example we found that the sounding value is 0.10 meters equals to 10 centimeters. We go to sounding book and we find that this is equals to 19.5 cubic meters always for zero trim, meaning that the vessel is even keel not being by astern or by ahead. Or we calculate 21.77 meters minus 0.10 meters equals to 21.67 meters.

So, we found that the ullage value is 21.67 meters. And we open again the manual sounding book and we look that is excactly the same 19.5 cubic meters. So we found one of the three data that we need.
And now you are ready to read this next article, that we show you and input these three data to this free excel file and TRANSFROM THE CUBIC METERS TO METRIC TONS.
